Gene Brandon played the drums in various Texas-based bands including The Ghostpeppers, Omar and the Howlers and The Drapes.



Gene Brandon, who was also a kindergarten teacher, died from heart complications Wednesday at South Austin Medical Center in January 2014. He was 59.
