Gar Samuelson drummed in metal act Megadeth, featuring former Metallica guitarist Dave Mustaine.
After Dave Mustaine was fired from Metallica in 1983 he got together with bassist David Ellefson, guitarist Kerry King and drummer Lee Rausch to form Megadeth. Lee Rausch was replaced by Gar Samuelson on drums in 1984.
With Samuelson on drums Megadeth released "Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good!" in 1985 and the "Peace Sells... but Who's Buying?" album the following year.
After the last show of a promotion tour in Hawaii Samuelson was fired in November 1986. He was replaced by Chuck Behler, who was hired as Megadeth's drummer in 1987.
