Fotis Benardo plays drums in Nightrage, and The Devilworx. Previously Benardo has played in Septic Flesh.
Fotis Benardo started studying drums in 1997 in the well known Greek Music School of P. Nakas. Learning the art of drumming made him combine different music styles (fusion , jazz and metal) in his music vocabulary.
In 1998 he entered the LA Institute and earned his diploma Sound Engineering and Music Technology in 2002.
In 2002 he joined Septic Flesh and participated in their European Tour. After the split-up of Septic Flesh, Fotis Benardo became a member of Nightrage, replacing Per Jensen of The Haunted and recording their sophomore album 'Nightrage' at the well known Fredman studios in 2004.
Nightrage initially featured singer Tomas Lindberg (The Great Deceiver, Lock-Up, ex-At the Gates and others). Other famous names in the band's line-up are guitarists Marios Iliopoulos (Exhumation) and Gus G. (Dream Evil, Firewind and Mystic Prophecy).
Before recording their sophomore album, the follow-up to 2003's "Sweet Vengeance", the band completed their line-up with bassist Henric Karlsson.
Fotis Benardo is a member of the teaching stuff in Modern Drum School.
