Floyd "Bud" Gaugh is best known for being a drummer who played in the bands Sublime (1988–1996), Long Beach Dub Allstars (1997–2002), Eyes Adrift (2002–2003) Volcano (2004), Del Mar (2006–present) and Sublime with Rome (2009–2011).
Bud Gaugh played drums for the multi-platinum, genre-hopping, infusion crossover act Sublime until bandleader and vocalist Brad Nowell died of a heroin overdose in 1996.
Following Nowell's tragic death, Bud Gaugh formed The Long Beach Dub Allstars with bassist Eric Wilson. With the same commitment to diversity and genre hopping, the Long Beach Dub Allstars infuse the flavors of Sublime (which fused punk, ska, reggae, dub, pop, rock, and hip-hop into their melting pot music) while, as their name also suggests, concentrating on dub.
In December 2001 Gaugh teamed up with Curt Kirkwood and Krist Novoselic of Nirvana fame, playing in a band named Eyes Adrift. In August 2003 Novoselic decided to leave the music industry and the band broke up.
