Erik Santos is on the faculty at the University of Michigan where he teaches composition and is the Director of Electronic Music Studios.
Erik Santos has received numerous commissions, prizes, and fellowships from such groups and organizations as Broadcast Music Incorporated (BMI), the MacDowell Colony, the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, the Rackharn Graduate School of the University of Michigan, The American Academy of Arts and Letters, and the Music Teachers National Association.
Erik Santos is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, and composer who works in many musical genres. In 2002, Erik Santos was invited to join the internationally acclaimed Japanese butoh group, Dairakudakan. He is bass player and vocalist for a rock/country/funk band called Citygoat in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
