Durk de Haan is perhaps better known as D Duel, drummer in Dutch rockoutfit Superbug.



It started as a kid, listening at his brothers and sisters records. They always played records of Deep Purple, Uriah Heep and Led Zeppelin.



Through the years Durk de Haan discovered his own music and actually paid a lot attention to drummers at that time. So he started rattle the pots and pans from his mother's kitchen. Durk:

"Much later on friends of mine asked me to join their band. They had no drummer. I never even played or touched a drumkit or what so ever! But I agreed; Somebody had to play, right?!."

They dubbed themselves Canyon. Durk's second band was Bon Ville, next came the bands Dark Rose and Restless.



Currently Durk de Haan is bashing the skins for Superbug.
