Doug Yule was mainly playing bass in Velvet Underground (replacing John Cale in 1968), but Yule also delivered some some lead vocals, keyboards and drums in the band. He stayed until 1973.
Next Doug Yule became the drummer for an Eagles-soundalike rock group called American Flyer, and for a while was the guitar player in Reed’s touring band.
After that, Doug Yule disappeared from the music scene, only to resurface for small-scale gigs in the late nineties.
