Multi-instrumentalist David Suzuki is the back bone of Rhode Island, US death metallers Vital Remains. He joined band founder Tony Lazaro for the first time on 1997's release "Forever Underground", replacing drummer Rick Corbett. Dave Suzuki has remained an integral part of the band to this day.
In the studio, Vital Remains is more of a project than a band. For instance: on the 2003 album "Dechristianize", David Suzuki played almost everything: rhythm guitar, bass and drums, leaving only lead guitar to partner Tony Lazaro and vocals to Deicide frontman Glen Benton.
Suzuki, Lazaro and Benton used drummer Tim Yeung for their live shows in 2003 and 2004.
Vital Remains made a rare New England appearance featuring Glen Benton of Deicide on lead vocals on Saturday, January 28 at The Living Room in Providence, Rhode Island. The gig marked Dave Suzuki's first appearance behind the drum kit with the band in five years.
