David Snel drums in Dutch blues trio Marcel Scherpenzeel Band since April 2004. Amsterdam-born David Snel replaced leaving drummer John Gerritse.
Previously, Snel was drummer of Irish blues band Albatross. He has toured the Western-European blues club and festival circuit extensively. Among others he played support slots for The Red Devils, Walter Trout and of course, the late Irish Guitar God Rory Gallagher. Apart from playing with Albatross, he has done some guest appearances with the Alexander Band, Paul Orta. On top of that he has played a few stints with his new band, the Marcel Scherpenzeel Band before.
Furthermore, MSB’s trio line-up will remain fully intact, still featuring Marcel Scherpenzeel on guitar and vocals and Ed "Steady Eddy" van der Meer on (contra)bass.
