David Hall is a Southern California-based freelance musician. A graduate of the Percussion Institute of Technology in Hollywood, California, Hall studied with Joe Porcaro, Ralph Humphrey, Chuck Flores and Steve Houghton.
During the past 12 years, he has performed in more than 50 musical theatre productions and has worked with several orchestras including the Debut, Downey and San Bernardino symphonies. Hall teaches private lessons in drums and percussion and has taught hundreds of students during his instructing career.
He has performed at Knott's Berry Farm and the Queen Mary, and has appeared in commercials for these California tourist destinations. He has performed on CD's for dozens of artists and was featured in the soundtrack for the movie "In the Line of Fire" starring Clint Eastwood. He is currently performing with the Contemporary Artists Percussion Ensemble, which is touring schools throughout Orange County, California. The ensemble is sponsored by the Orange County Philharmonic Society and the Musicians Union Trust Fund.
