De'Arcus Curry was born and raised in Jackson, MS. She won Hit Like A Girl 2012, the first ever international drumming contest for girls and women at the age of 23.
She can't read music but sure know how to play by ear.
De'Arcus Curry has two older brothers, that are also musically inclined. Her oldest brother, David Curry III, plays drums too.
