Drumming prodigy Daniel Petersen began playing the drums at 14 months. At the age of four, he became the youngest musician in the world to be fully endorsed by Yamaha. Daniel has had no formal music training.



His father, professional musician Daniel Petersen, said Daniel's exceptional talent was obvious when he first began tapping away on his drums.



Daniel Petersen has performed at a number of events, including the televised official South African presidential programme on Freedom Day in April 2008, at the V&A Waterfront, and at former president Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday celebrations.



In October 2008 Daniel Petersen and his parents traveled to New Orleans on Saturday to perform at a jazz festival organised by the New Orleans South Africa Connection Incorporation as part of a week of African music celebrations.
