Dan Weiner has been playing drums since he was nine years old. After attending East Carolina University for percussion performance and education, he moved to NYC and was hired at age 19 to join the cast of the Off-Broadway show Stomp.
After performing in the New York company, Dan Weiner joined the national tour, eventually playing the lead role and rehearsal directing the show. During the tour, he had the opportunity to perform on stage with Bobby McFerrin and appear on serveral tv shows, including "Good Morning America", among many others.
After an extensive tour, Dan Weiner moved back to NYC to continue his music career. In the time since his return, he's performed at such venues as MSG, Town Hall and Radio City Music Hall for various projects.
More recently, Dan performed at The Continental Airlines Arena for the Wu-Tang Clan reunion concert and recorded a track for Word Records/Warner Music recording artist Nicole C. Mullen(featuring John Patitucci on upright bass).
Also, Dan Weiner is now subbing on the drums for the Broadway show Wicked. He is currently in the New York company of Stomp and plays drumset for a number of pop and soul artists in the city including up and coming kid's rock band The Jimmies (Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, etc.), Kevin So, John Boy, Jim Van Slyke (LML Records), etc.
