Chris Pernia was the original drummer in Pessimist and featured on the first two Pessimist CDs, "Cult of the Initiated" and "Blood for the Gods". Before the recording of "Slaughtering the Faithful" Pernia left the band, but rejoined early 2005. Pessimist broke up in September 2006.
