Chris was one of the original line-up of Simply Red and was the drummer from 1984 until the end of the A NEW FLAME tour.

His previous bands included Fast Breeder, Durutti Column, Mothmen, Pink Military and Wah. After leaving Simply Red Chris set up a studio in Manchester and the Planet 4 record label
