Chris Dagley was one of the most popular drummers on the jazz and session scenes because of his solid, powerhouse groove and boundless energy.
A drum prodigy since the age of 12, Chris Dagley rose to fame with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NYJO).
Chris soon worked with jazz stars such as Ella Fitzgerald, Benny Golson, Randy Brecker, Jim Mullen, and Don Weller.
Chris Dagley also played with Liza Minnelli, Bette Midler, Gary Barlow, The Osmonds, Take That, Westlife, Lionel Richie, Jamiroquai, Lalo Schifrin, Eric Clapton, the Chaka Khan Fame Academy and the BBC Big Band. He was also drummer in the James Pearson Trio, the house band at Ronnie Scott's.
Chris Dagley was killed early Tuesday, July 28, 2010 as he rode home from a gig. He was only 39 years old.
