"Guaguanco was like a Ravel inspired excursion into latin grooves. Each new sound was integrated into the basic melodic pattern in a very organic way, always adding just a little something more to an already full palette of sound. It sounded both simple and accessible, and yet rich and full at the same time. A very musical performance in a style of playing that was both full of groove and rich in texture."
