Bobby Figueroa joined The Beach Boys on tour in the spring of 1974 after original drummer Dennis Wilson was interested in hiring someone for the spot so that he could move to the front of the stage to play piano.
Bobby played his first show with The Beach Boys when he was just 21 years old. At the time, they were playing to 2,500-person crowds in small venues.
But in less than a year, the Glendora native experienced his first big show. When he looked down and saw Ringo Starr in the front row and the 100,000 adoring fans crowded into London's Wembley Soccer Stadium, he knew he had joined a very special group.
