Boston based drum guru Bob Gullotti is an explosive free jazz pioneer and a drum legend, who played in avant-garde jazz trio The Fringe.
In the late 1970's Gullotti played in a trio called Gonz, including bassist Bruce Gertz and tenor saxophonist Jerry Bergonzi. Gonz sometimes became Gargonz when they added the talents of another Boston based saxophonist, George Garzone, as well as bassist John Lockwood (also of The Fringe).
Bob Gullotti taught part-time at Berklee, who transcribed and played Charlie Parker saxophone solos for the drum set for his students.
