Bill "Buster" Bateman was the original drummer in all-American roots music band The Blasters. When he left, Bill was followed up by David Carrol and, currently, Jerry Angel.
In spring 2002 the original Blasters line-up, including Bateman, reunited for a series of six reunions shows in California. A live album resulted, "Trouble Bound", which featured recordings from the group's two performances at House of Blues in Hollywood.
With the group back in the public eye, the 2005 edition of the Blasters - featuring Jerry Angel on drums - finally released their long-promised studio album, "4-11-44".
Bill Bateman also played in The Flesheaters. More recently he showed up in The Cramps.
