Ben Tufts has taught hundreds, if not thousands of area students the art of percussion, and has played with Northern Virginia’s best known musicians over the years.
Ben Tufts spent the first eight years of his life living on a 300 acre property that was under the purview of his father, Craig, who was Chief Naturalist for the Natural Wildlife Federation for decades.
To honor his late father, Ben Tufts set up the Craig Tufts Scholarship Fund. A high-achieving child who is really into nature and conservation, but might not be able to afford a week-long summit for the whole family, is awarded an experience of a lifetime—just like the ones that Ben had.
