Ange E. Curcio was born in 1971 in Calabria, Italy and raised in Torino where he started his drumming career at the early age of five by banging on pots! A year later, he moved with his family to Montreal, Canada, where he played his first professional gig at age 15. Ange paid his dues playing the usual bar gigs in small bands around town, evolving into a versatile drummer, not only with great showmanship on stage but equally adaptive in the recording studio as well. His trademark sound and groove has brought him numerous accolades from his peers and fellow-artists, and he has earned a solid reputation for delivering the goods at every gig or recording session that he is a part of.
Ange Curcio has toured Canada, the United States, Japan, and Europe, backing international recording artists Saints And Sinners, and Corey Hart, as well as Quebec's international platinum recording stars Michel Pagliaro, and Éric Lapointe with whom he received several Felix Awards, including Best Show 2000. Ange Curcio even played a special drum solo for Bill Gates at a recent international Microsoft convention! He also landed a role in the movie Les Dangereux as the drummer in the lead character's band, and took home the New Discovery Felix Award 2002 with B.E.A.T.. Ange Curcio has also played in concert with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra and Corey Hart, and was nominated for a Juno award with B.E.A.T.
Ange Curcio is also known from his work with Corey Heart and Jonas. He played a duet with Cryptopsy drummer Flo Mounier at the Montreal Drumfest 2003.
