Andy Jones has been a composer and percussionist based in Chicago for the
last fifteen years. In that time he has played for twelve Jeff Award winning productions. At the Goodman Theatre, Andy has performed The House of Martin Guerre, A Little Night Music, and Wings, as well as its subsequent run at the Joseph Papp Public Theatre in New York. Andy wrote the percussion score to the 1997 ASCAP award winning musical 90°North, and performed for its staged readings at the Berkshire Theatre Festival and the Kennedy Center.
Andy was the recipient of a Joseph Jefferson Award for his original
music for Blade to the Heat at the Apple Tree Theater, and wrote a solo-percussion score for Chicago Shakespeare Theatre's TYA production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. His National tours include Cats, Cabaret, and the celebrity AIDS benefit, Heartstrings. Andy arranged and music directed the World Premiere of God and Country at Victory Gardens, and co-music directed The Flower Thieves with The Midnight Circus. Most recently, he served as assistant music director and percussionist for Chicago Shakespeare's production of Pacific Overtures, and will be traveling to London this summer for its remounting at the Donmar Warehouse.
