Andrew Beall, an accomplished composer/percussionist, gave the world premier of his "Testament": Symphony for Marimba and Orchestra, in New York on April 24, 2004.
As a freelance percussionist, Mr. Beall performs in the Tony Award-winning Broadway hit, the Lion King, as well as at Carnegie Hall with the New England Symphony Ensemble. He has also performed in Little Shop of Horrors, Ophelia and Scott Eyerly's opera, The House of Seven Gables. Mr. Beall marched five years of Drum & Bugle Corps, concluding his final season by winning the DCI Solo Marimba Competition and the DCI Percussion Ensemble Competition. He arranged and taught the winning Percussion Ensemble Carolina Crown Drum & Bugle Corps in 2003.
At the 2001 PAS convention he won the College Individual Marimba Competition. Mr. Beall currently studies with Jonathan Haas in the debut year of his new Classical Percussion Studio at New York University.
In 2004 Andrew Beall was one of the winners of the Regal Tip/ NYS PAS Scholarships, along with Daniel Barrera.
