Andrea Ge is a well-known drummer. He worked with Glenn Hughes, Max Magagni and played with German outfit Exilia. He departed from this latter band in April 2005, and was followed up by a drummer named Ale.



Born in Milan, Andrea Ge is a professional drummer and has studied drums at the NAMM with the well know instructor Tullio De Piscopo. He is further registered in GEMA (D) as composer and author of literal parts. He gained a very good studio and live professional experience, ranging from Blues to Rock, from Reggae to Melodic Italian Pop and Hip-hop, developing the use of sequencer and drum-machine together with the Cubase VST system.



Andrea Ge has recorded several albums and singles cooperating live and studio with well known musicians/artists, such as: Enrico Ruggeri, Vasco Rossi, Mark Harris, Massimo Riva, Marco Costa (Sanremo '98), Irene Lamedica (Sanremo '99), Saturnino (Jovanotti), Claudio "Galina" Golinelli (Vasco), Max Gelsi (Elisa), Andrea Braido (Mina, Zucchero, Vasco etc.), Maurizio Solieri (Vasco Rossi), Davide "Cesareo" Civaschi (Elio e le Storie Tese), Ricky Portera (Dalla, Stadio), Mc Auley (Msg), Paul Shortino (Rough Cutt, Quiet Riot), Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple) etc.



Further, Andrea Ge has been member of numerous bands, among which: Sharks (CGD - Sanremo '89), Clara & The Black Cars (Emi), Fandango Band, Animali Rari (Ricordi) and recently the alternative rock/crossover band Exilia (Gun Records/BMG).



Andrea Ge has participated in various well known TV shows such as: Sanremo Festival, Festival Bar, Saint Vincent, Roxy Bar, Night Express etc., and appeared also in many video-clips. From October '97 to November ‘98, he was the drummer of the live TV program "JTV".



He has to his credit reviews on specialized magazines such as "Drum Club" (I) "Percussioni" (I), “Drum & Percussion” (D) and “Keyboards” (D).



Andrea Ge has been on tour supporting Vasco Rossi, Claudio Baglioni, Heroes Del Silencio, Joe Ely, Jovanotti, Jethro Tull, Deep Purple, etc. While he was with the band Exilia, Andrea toured with Therapy?, Rollins’ Band, Tricky, Cardigans, Him, Paradise Lost, Guano Apes, Ill Nino, In Extremo, Oomph!, Rammstein etc.



From 1999, Andrea Ge has been teaching at the "Music Academy 2000" in Bologna drawing up the courses "Analysis of Styles" for Pro 2 Level.



In 2000 Andrea Ge joined the crossover band Exilia (1st CD published by Dig it/Universal) and has performed in more than 120 concerts per year in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Holland. Since then he also took care about contacts, public relations and in general about the organization for the band in Italy and abroad.



In 2001 Andrea Ge realized for the Big Fish Audio (California) an Audio CD/Wav "G-Force" with more than 500 drum loops.

In 2002 Exilia signed with GUN records in Germany releasing the album “Unleashed” (GUN/BMG) in which he also took part as co-author. The album “Unleashed” and the singles “Stop Playin’ God” and “Coincidence” entered immediately in the German charts.



In 2003 they appeared in many German TV station (Viva, Viva plus, MTV Germany), radio (Einz Live) and magazines (Metal Hammer, Rock Hard etc.) and they did more than 150 gigs per year. In 2004 they also supported Rammstein in their European tour.



Actually Exilia just released a new single “Can’t break me down” that is also the title track for the movie “The Clown” broadcast in more than 50 Countries (particularly USA, England and Germany).
