Adam J. Perry started playing drums at primary school having been inspired by watching drummers from The Glitter Band and Sweet on Top of The Pops. Before long Adam Perry was gigging and recording with bands locally. Being the era of New Wave and Punk it was a great time to start playing.
During the 1980's Adam Perry worked with members of New Model Army whilst also gigging and recording with my own groups writing my own songs and music. This led to him joining a UK based band called Asylum. They wrote and recorded 3 albums and went on to tour and record across the UK, Europe and USA.
Eventually, Adam Perry settled in Reading UK. He recorded an album and gigged with indie/folk singer/songwriter John Forrester and started playing Soul and Funk with Short People and Hi Records tribute 99lbs.
Adam Perry then worked with indie singer/songwriter Mike Halliwell on his debut album. Currently, Adam Perry plays with The Kickback, The Keith Allen Band, Bidgie Reef and The Gas, Mike Halliwell, Jack Cade, Da Vinci and The King Earl Boogie Band (depping for the legendary John Coghlan).
Adam Perry is also in the house band for Reading Jazz Jam at the Global Cafe in Reading and am in regular demand to dep for many other groups.
