young days of jamming with rappers with his hands on school lunchroom tables, to his later classical training in jazz performance, Stix has created a style that’s as complete as it is unique.
Stix Bones is the drummer for poetress Jessica Care Moore and has been band
leader for the hottest open mic venues in New York including Lyricist Lounge
and Solutions Entertainment. Stix is featured on Lyricist Lounge Volume 1
(Rawkus) with Sarah Jones "Blood".
Stix has performed and shared the stage with artists such as De La Soul, Rhazel "The Godfather of Noyze," Mos Def, Doug E. Fresh, and more.
He's toured with renowned poets,
including The Vibe Khameleons and Poetess Jessica Care Moore.
Stix also recorded "Bones Beats, Volume 1," an acoustic drum album that’s regularly sampled by some of
the best producers in the industry. You can currently find Stix Bones performing live, and as a session drummer, in the NYC area.
