One characteristic that you will observe about Robert "Jake" Jacobs is that he's extremely passionate about music, family, friends and international affairs. Most of his friendships are long-term—with some relationships lasting over 30 years.
Most musicians going into the music business dream large and more often than not, lose their dedication, anticipation, belief and faith. Jake has always believed in his career even though he is not a "household name." There are very few musicians who can say that their full time job is being a professional musician. Jake has the ambition to bring out the best possible performance live or recorded to each individual artist and always maintains that the music never abandons its integrity, dynamics and creativity.
Most drummers like to show off their technique and solo capabilities. This is not the case with Jake. He likes to do what's right for the song and strengthen what the artist envisions.
Jake's education consists of:
Fairliegh Dickinson University BA/BS Degrees in Music Education/Performance
Kean College of NJ Instruction by Paul Price (Manhattan School of Music)
Ithaca Music Conservatory Instruction by Gordon Stout
Jake is an artist who does live performances, studio performances for commercials, television & motion picture, albums and video games, and who still finds time for teaching and lessons.
