Quarter note triplet lesson.
For this lesson we're looking we're phrasing the quarter note triplets against the jazz ride pattern. All the same info from the last lesson still applies except this time we're simply alternating them between the snare drum and bass drum which gives a nice polyrhythmic effect. This would be used as a device behind a soloist to create some tension.
We also introduce the hi hat as a comping device by replacing the bass drum with it.
