With the TM-6, you can layer your acoustic sounds with samples from the module. Those can be the pre-installed samples, or the ones you import into the module.
In today?s music scene, the drummer is expected to do more than just holding the time and providing the backbeat. Every drummer will eventually need sounds that the acoustic drum kit doesn?t readily make; a shaker, a tambourine, an 808 clap, even a sub drop or your own sample.
It?s possible to expand the sounds available within your drum kit by adding an electronic drum pad to your acoustic drum kit and connecting it to a TM-6 PRO drum module, you can perform with any sound you assign to that pad.
The TM-6 PRO is a dedicated drum module with 500 one-shot drum samples, onboard editable V-Drums sounds, the ability to load your own WAV sounds, and inputs for six triggers or pads, with up to six direct outputs.
In this video, drummer Bob Hall of band Catfish and the Bottlemen uses the TM-6 PRO with electronic drum pads to add expressive acoustic V-Drums sounds to complement his acoustic drums. Cowbell, toms sounds and a second snare are also incorporated using V-Pads connected to the TM-6 PRO.
Performance recorded live, acoustic drums recorded using mics as seen, with direct outputs recorded from the TM-6 PRO.
More information on the TM-6 PRO and the other pads and triggers featured can be found on the Roland global website:
