Traditional grip and matched grip. A perennial conversation among drummers and IÂ’m asked why I switch between the two grips more than anything else. I find it a bit mystifying that thereÂ’s a large amount of interest and inquiries on the topic so IÂ’ve tried to answer this the best I can and shed some light on why most traditional grip players find joy in both worlds.
