Eric Tan, product specialist with Stagg and inventor of the Beat Tutor, came up with all the functions and features of this practice pad. It has many functions that you can use for practice, or, for the fun of it, play around with them. Take the built-in stroke meter that counts your strokes in 10 seconds, up to 90 seconds. You can choose whether you want to play with the normal metronome or with the different grooves the pad has. Another great feature is the tap-tempo function; the pad measures your strokes and calculates the average tempo. IT is mountable on a cymbal stand and works on either an adapter or batteries.
The very affordable practice pad contains a lot more functions. Good to know beforehand is that the silicone pad itself plays more comfortable than a lot of other practice pads.
In this video, Eric Tan explains all the functions of the Beat Tutor. The second Beat Tutor video contains a lesson about all the different ways to practice with the metronome function.
