Learn how the Roland TM-1 Trigger Module works in just a few videos
Hybrid drumming just got very easy, and a lot cheaper with the Roland TM-1.
With the TM-1 Trigger Module Roland makes hybrid drumming not only easy, but the price of the module also makes it accessible to everyone. That is, of course, if you also have the necessary triggers set up for your module.
The TM-1 is ideal if you want to combine any acoustic drum with electronic sounds or percussion and the TM-6 Pro is just a little too professional for you. In the videos here you learn about the TM-1 module and the free app that Roland developed to control the module and your sounds.
Every drummer?s sound is as individual as their playing style. By adding electronic sounds and samples to your acoustic drums, it?s easy to complement or change the acoustic drum sound so that it?s right for the gig.
The TM-1 Hybrid Trigger Module is the easiest way to create a hybrid drum kit with acoustic and electronic elements. By connecting drum triggers or pads to the TM-1, sounds from the module can be layered on the acoustic drums, or electronic drum pads can be added to the kit to expand the sounds available.
Using the free editor app for desktop and smartphone, it?s easy to load samples, edit sounds and settings and set-up the TM-1.
In this video, Roland artists Mark Pusey, Gabi King and Henry Rogers perform using a mix of standard sounds from the TM-1 and their own samples. All acoustic drums recorded live using Audix microphones and mixed with the TM-1. Recorded in UK, January 2019.
