DW drum designer John "The Wood Whisperer" Good and Rush drummer Neil Peart teamed up to create the one-of-a kind R40 kit. Neil will be using the kit for the upcoming R40 Live tour from May to August 2015. The kit is a Dyed Black Pear over Romanian River Oak with laser logo inlay and gold hardware. Beto Benitez, DW's media and promotions manager, shows you the whole kit in the video with this article. The R40 was built to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Rush. Notice the incredible wood inlays on the drums and know that this drum set is built from one 1,500 year old log from Romania.
