Videos with Joost Kroon hosting the Sandlane Sessions: a recording clinic initiated by Remo, Slagwerkkrant and the Sandlane Recording Facilities in Rijen, The Netherlands.
Joost played four songs on two different drumsets: a Tama Starclassic maple and a '70's Gretsch with an extra round badge snare from the sixties. The Tama drums where recorded with two overhead microphones and a bass drum mic. The Gretsch-setup was close miked. Joost plays Zildjian cymbals, and, naturally, all drums had Remo drumheads.
The videos show two versions of each track:
1. the drums mixed into the song
2. the drum mixes only (with the song in the back)
