Matt\'s drumstick features oversized dimensions that are perfect for rock. The new design combines the 16 5/8\" length of Zildjian\'s Rock model and the 0.595\" diameter of its Super 5B, with a barrel shaped wood bead for producing powerful tones. The drumstick also now features the Velvet Revolver logo above Matt\'s name, both in a brilliant red.

Commenting on his new sticks, Sorum said:

\"I\'ve just started getting into playing in the Super 5B range, which has smaller dimensions than my old stick. But the Super 5B is a little light for what I do. So I thought we could change my stick to be a little bit heavier than the Super 5B. I\'m digging it; it\'s beautiful! My sticks are always well balanced. I always have about 20 sticks in my bag, and sometimes I\'ll pick up a new pair to play just because I want a fresh pair. And when I do they always feel the same; the balance is really good. They\'re very consistent and that\'s important for a drumstick.\"

The Matt Sorum Artist Series Drumstick is made from U.S. Select Hickory in Moundville, AL where Zildjian has been crafting drumsticks since 1989.
