For the seventh time in a row Wacken Open Air is sold out. All 75.000 tickets for the 23rd edition are sold and never before in such a short time.
A huge part of the billing is already announced including several special and exclusive shows as well as high-class acts including Amon Amarth, DRI, Electric Wizard, Henry Rollins, Machine Head and Volbeat.
About Wacken Open Air WOA was first held in 1990 as a small event for local German bands. The festival is usually held at the beginning of August and lasts three days, during which the festival-goers camp on several large camping grounds surrounding the actual festival area.
