\"I\'m very sad to announce to all of you that I am no longer a member of Into Eternity. This is not what I wanted, but the simple truth is, for personal and professional reasons, I cannot continue to play in Into Eternity at this point in my life. I have nothing bad to say about Tim, Rob, Stu and Troy. They are truly wonderful people and some of my best friends. We\'ve been through some tremendous experiences, and I can\'t thank them enough for the amazing times we\'ve had and the incredible opportunities that they\'ve given me. It\'s been absolutely humbling playing with such ferocious, capable and professional musicians.\"
With Sagan behind the kit, Into Eternity has toured intensively for the last 18 months, sharing the stage with Amorphis, Beyond The Embrace, Hate Eternal, Krisiun, Opeth, Nevermore, and Kataklysm among others.
Adam Sagan joined the band in July 2004, replacing long time skinsman Jim Austin.
Sagan\'s departure come in the middle of the production porcess of Into Eternity\'s new CD — the group\'s first with singer Stu Block of Vancouver\'s Omega Crom. The band\'s last album, \"Buried In Oblivion\", was released in February 2004 through Century Media Records.
From Canada to Australia: Damien Percy has joined Christian metallers Mortification as their new drummer. He is replacing Mike Forsberg, who departed from the band in 2005.
In other news: Mortification\'s upcoming album, \"Erasing the Goblin\", has been mixed and mastered and should be available in late March. According to a press release, fans should expect a death metal-oriented release with some brutal riffing: \"
\"There are thrash and power metal influences but \'Erasing...\' is a heavier and stronger release than anything the band released in the past ten years.\"
And from Australia to the United States, where drummer Derek Hoffman (ex-Gorgasm) has parted ways with Worms Inside.
Worms Inside, the band formerly known as Worms Inside You, has recruited former Martyr drummer Max Colunga as a replacement for Derek.
The remaining band members, guitarist Tom Tangalos (ex-Gorgasm), vocalist James Eads (Rellik) and bassist Jeremy Barger (Torn Between), state:
\"We are gonna go back into the studio probably later this year to record our [debut] album, \'Existence is Futile\'. Now we are starting to play out again with our new drummer. The future does look good for this band we are gonna go on and dominate this planet.\"
