Remo developed their own dampening gels to get more control over the overtones in your drums. The Crown Control dampening Gels have a first in the market: they feature the Remo crown. In the short video below, recorded by Russ Miller in his RMI studios in Los Angeles, you hear the effects of the gels applied to drumheads, cymbals and cowbells.
The gels with the Remo logo are black and have a heavier density adhesion formula to make them stick better. They come in a small plastic container and the gels can be cut to a desired size and can be washed with soap and water to use them like they are brand new again. The price of the Control Gels will be around $12.99 for an 8-piece pack.
