The rubber Speedball has a hardness somewhere between felt and plastic. According to Puresound, it creates a \'\'deep, yet articulate tone\'\' that is recommended for a variety of playing styles.

Like Puresound’s felt and plastic models, the upgraded rubber Speedball beaters feature a self-adjusting beater assembly that automatically swivels to adapt its flat impact surface to any playing angle.

They also have an adjustable counter weight and a stainless steel shaft in standard length, or extended length for 24\" and larger bass drums.
