The versatile career of Philip David Charles Collins is just immense and spans all the corners of the music and entertainment industry. From working with names the like of Robert Plant, working on two Eric Clapton albums - 'Behind the Sun' (1985) and 'August' (1986), producing and writing with Philip Bailey (Easy Lover), ABBA's Frida, playing the drums on Tears For Fears' song Woman In Chains with Manu Katche, or writing music for Disney's Tarzan including You’ll Be In My Heart, which won him an Oscar up to his signature work on Genesis' Apocalypse in 9/8, where, according to Phil Collins, it all just fits together.

Cool factoids
The interview has a few nice, surprising elements with factoids that give you a glimpse of Collins and how his fellow musicians view him. When Drumeo's Brandon Toews asks if there is someone he wished he had played with, he immediately knows the answer: Joe Zawinul. Collins:
We met at the North Sea Jazz Festival. Joe Zawinul - I just love what he did. Joe came to my caravan. It was like meeting God. I wish I had played with him, although I would be scared stiff.
