Graham taped thousands of live performances and stored them in a basement for years. And now you can listen to all these live shows via internet as a 128K digital radio stream.
Mitch Mitchell (Jimi Hendrix), Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann (The Grateful Dead), John Densmore (The Doors), John Bonham (Led Zeppelin), Jimmy Cobb and Tony Williams (Miles Davis), WS “Fluke” Holland (Johnny Cash), and Charlie Watts (Rolling Stones) - the list goes on and on.
Bill Graham was born in Berlin, Germany in 1931 as Wolfgang Granjonca. He died in 1991. In memoriam of the remarkable concert promotor, the web site is dubbed Wolfgang’s Vault.
Bill Graham\'s archive was acquired in 2003 for more than 5 million euros by Bill Sagan, who now offers a selection from these concerts as online audio, broadcasting unaltered live performances by many of the greatest bands of the last 40 years.
Rumours say Bill Graham has recorded video footage as well, including a legendary 1973 show by The Who, during which Keith Moon (photo) fell into his drum kit, and the final Sex Pistols concert. If and when this footage comes available is not clear yet.
