\"So, there we were - suddenly stuck in the middle of frigging nowhere on a dark Saturday night. Only two hours driving away from our final gig at the G16 club in Leipzig. What to do next?\"
Both bands were determined to make it for their next show. To make a long story short: the musicians hired two replacement cars, transported all their necessary belongings into these two smaller cars, left about half of their stuff behind in their broken van and arrived six hours late in Leipzig. Continues the Nuestros Derechos drummer:
\"We were supposed to arrive at 7 pm. When we finally got there it was 1 am and Brazilian crustcore outfit Sick Terror was just announcing their last song for that night. Immediately after we plugged in and managed to put on a ripping show. We successfully finished our tour despite the set-back, so we continued drinking and dancing until 7 in the morning. What a day!\"
At the moment of writing the touring van is still on its way to be repatriated. Nuestros Derechos and TB have no clue of the costs to fix it:
\"The most important is we are all still alive and kicking. We believe we have been pretty fortunate that no one got injured. In the end, a car is something easy to replace even though it may cost a serious amount of money for poor bastards like us.\"
Nuestros Derechos\' most recent recording, entitled \"Split \'Em All\", was issued late 2005. Containing 23 minutes of “pure fuckin thrash metalcore out of the slimy depths and ruins of Utrecht rock city”, the release breathes the old-school feeling of the \'80s all over. Strictly limited to 500 issues worldwide, only a few copies are left. You can order yours at Drummerszone.com
