Adrenaline Mob is the name of the new collaboration project between drummer Mike Portnoy (formerly of Dreamer Theater and Avenged Sevenfold) and Symphony X vocalist Russell Allen. Mike and Russell have been working on the project for weveral months but the drummer had not announced it until now."Adrenaline Mob is a straight-up rock band with just rock songs - kind of like an edgy, modern kind of sound... almost like Rob Zombie meets Black Label Society meets Disturbed, with Dio singing. So it's definitely different and it's cool. It's not progressive or trying to be too metal or anything - it's just good, old crunchy rock stuff."
Fans may expect "huge riffs, slamming grooves and shredding playing" from the new band.
Adrenaline Mob will play an exclusive one-off intimate live show at the Hiro Ballroom in New York on June 24 at 8 pm.
