Adele also won as best British female solo artist, capping a year of global success. The singer added both Brit awards to the six Grammy Awards she won last weekend.

The 2012 Brit award in the category international male solo artist was scooped by Bruno Mars, while Rihanna did the same thing in the category international female solo artist.
