Every artist performing on the main stage will also host an educational workshop on the festival’s master class stage covering various drum related topics:

• Developing musicality on the drum set (Rodney Holmes)


• Double Bass Drumming (Jason Bittner)


• Grooves, styles and musical phrasing (Benny Greb)


• Playing with a percussionist in a pop band (Peter Wrba + Stephan Maass)


• 4-way independence (Thomas Lang)

“Introducing master classes performed by every participating artist is a great chance for every attendant to learn from them in a hands-on workshop environment” comments MEINL’s festival coordinator, Norbert Saemann. “It’s a real asset to the Meinl Drum Festival.”

MEINL’s production facility will be fully up and running that day as well and everybody will be allowed to take part in a guided tour throughout the factory.
