DevilDriver drummer John Boecklin will sit out the band\'s appearance at the one-day Ozzfest on August 9, 2008 due to the fact that he is getting married the very next day. Filling in for Boecklin at Ozzfest will be Daath sticksman Kevin Talley.\"I am very stoked to say that I will be playing Ozzfest \'08 with my friends in DevilDriver. I have known them since 2005 — great people and great music. I am currently learning 17 songs and will meet up with them July 31 to rehearse in California.\"
Kevin has previously recorded and/or toured with many bands, including Dying Fetus, The Black Dahlia Murder, Hate Eternal and Suffocation. Watch Kevin Talley in action here:
Ozzy Osbourne and Metallica will headline Ozzfest on August 9 at Pizza Hut Park in Dallas, Texas.
Also appearing on Ozzfest\'s main stage are Serj Tankian (System of a Down), Korn singer Jonathan Davis, Hellyeah, Cavalera Conspiracy, Shadows Fall, Apocalyptica, In This Moment and what\'s being billed as an \"all-star tribute\" to the late Pantera and Damageplan guitarist \"Dimebag\" Darrell Abbott.
