Jim Wunderlich, Caption Head and arranger for The Concord Blue Devils, has chosen Pro-Mark to be his drum stick brand for the upcoming years. In his third year 2007 Blue Devils were awarded the honor of DCI World Champion Drum Corps and the percussion section received the Fred Sanford Award for Best Percussion Performance. But Jim is more then just a front man.

In addition to his Blue Devils work, Jim is also the arranger for the Brigadiers of Syracuse, New York, and he visits Japan several times a year where he is the Front Ensemble Caption Head and arranger for Tokyo’s Soka Renaissance Vanguard.
Jim is also active in Winter Guard International (WGI). He has been the Front Ensemble arranger & caption head for many successful programs, including seven-time WGI Scholastic World medalist Mission Viejo High School; two-time WGI Independent World gold medalist Riverside Community College; and five-time WGI Scholastic A medalist Loara High School. Jim has served on the WGI Percussion Advisory Board since 1996, and is a founding member of the Southern California Percussion Alliance.
His drum corps roots go back to 1989 when he marched tenors for Suncoast Sound. Previous drum corps credits include work with the Seattle Cascades, the Velvet Knights, and Esperanza. Jim’s current project is working as an arranger/composer for the upcoming theater show entitled “Odyssey”, which will tour Japan from October through December 2008.
