\"Contrary to many published reports in the music press, I want to make it clear that my departure from the band has absolutely nothing to do with my health. I\'ve learned much about myself and those around me (particularly in the last month) and it\'s brought about many positive changes. My association with the organization has opened many doors — I\'m grateful and I\'m ready to move on. Although I appreciate the concern, I am not sick or recuperating. I feel great (physically and otherwise) and am playing the best drums of my life right now.\"
In fact, while Nine Inch Nails continue touring with Australian session drummer Alex Carapetis behind the kit, Jerome Dillon is laying the finishing touch on the long-awaited release of his solo project, \"nearLY\".
At the moment NIN are traveling across North America with Queens Of The Stone Age. A South American run will take place in late November.
Jerome Dillon can be heard on the latest release from Afghan Whigs/Twilight Singers frontman Greg Dulli, \"Amber Headlights\". Jerome also played drums on the forthcoming Twilight Singers record which will be released in early 2006.
