\"Well, some of you might have heard the rumors that Christan Bass decided to leave the band, and yes, it\'s true! For us as well as for him, it wasn\'t an easy decision but we all have to move on with our visions and future plans. We wish him all the best in his future! And for all the gleefully people out there, we are sorry... No trouble, no hard feelings nothing for you to bitch about! Christian\'s spot will be filled by Hartmut Stoof, former drummer of metal band Symbiontic. We are glad to have such an effective and motivated replacement!\"
Stoof previously helped out Deadsoil on several shows as well as on their tour with Illdisposed in 2006.
Deadsoil\'s show at Ieper Fest on August 24 in Belgium will be Hartmut Stoof\'s first official show with his new band.
Departing sticksman Christan Bass has issued the following statement regarding his decision to leave Deadsoil:
\"Yes, the rumors have been true. I will play my final Deadsoil show this Sunday [August 19] at the Essen Original Festival in Essen. Surely this decision wasn\'t easy but I felt that I have to move on and start to work on some music that I have in mind for a long time. I am sorry, but there is no bad blood and no \'shit-talking\'! All I can do is to wish the guys all the best for the upcoming time...\"
Bass continues drumming in his new band White Eyes. The drummer promises to have a video and three demo tracks online soon.
Deadsoil\'s latest album, \'Sacrifice\', was released in May 2006 via Lifeforce Records. The follow-up to 2004\'s \'The Venom Divine\' was recorded in January 2006 at Principal Studios in Senden by Vincent Sorg, was mixed by Kataklysm\'s Jean-Francois Dagenais and was mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music, Tenafly, NJ.
